A single-herb liquid extract of dried seed of Persea americana, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

The avocado is an evolutionary leftover. Its fruit — botanically a berry — is built around a single enormous seed, far too large for any animal now living in Central America to swallow and carry away, and the accepted explanation is that it evolved for the giant ground sloths and gomphotheres that went extinct thirteen thousand years ago. Without people planting it, it would have followed them. This extract is made from that seed.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Avocado seed contains persin, which is toxic to birds, rabbits and some other animals; keep it well away from pets. People allergic to latex often react to avocado. Not for use in pregnancy. Do not exceed the suggested amount.

Keep out of reach of children. Not for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are taking any medication, have a medical condition, or are scheduled for surgery, consult a healthcare practitioner before use. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs.
